On September 30 and October 1, Gnosis by Lesaffre exhibited at Food Tech Summit & Expo Mexico at Centro Banamex in Mexico City. The show is one of the leading meeting points for the food, beverage and nutraceutical industry in Latin America. Scientific spotlight: Vitamin K2 MK-7 for vascular aging
The highlight of Gnosis’ participation was a presentation by Dr. Tom Guilliams titled “From Clinical Evidence to Innovation: Vitamin K2 MK-7 for Vascular Aging.” Dr. Guilliams reviewed the science behind vitamin K2 as MK-7, including its role in activating vitamin K-dependent proteins involved in vascular health. Over the two days, the Gnosis team met with brand owners, manufacturers and product developers from across Mexico and the wider region. Conversations focused on heart and bone health, healthy aging, joint health and gut health. Visitors were especially interested in what sets Gnosis’ ingredients apart: fermentation-based production, clinical substantiation and regulatory support. These exchanges confirmed that Mexico is one of the most dynamic markets for nutraceutical innovation in Latin America.
