Gnosis by Lesaffre has been a pioneer in the development of vitamin K2 as MK7 and we have always aimed to achieve the highest level of purity.
How to measure the purity of vitamin K2?
When it comes to defining the purity of vitamin K2, two criteria should be considered:
- Isomeric purity, which is measured by the percentage of trans active isomer of vitamin K2 as MK7 in the product vs. cis isomer;
- General purity, which is measured by the percentage of substances which are actually vitamin K2 within the product vs. other substances resulting from the manufacturing process.
What is VitaMK7® purity profile?
To demonstrate the quality of our products, we decided to share with you the purity profile of the production batches of VitaMK7® manufactured over the last 30 months. So that you can assess the actual purity of our vitamin K2 as MK7, and not just the purity of lab samples.
On average, the level of purity of VitaMK7® achieved was:
* Scope: 168 production batches manufactured between December 2017 and May 2020.
As you can see, actual level of purity of VitaMK7® that we deliver to the market is far above both the USP standards and the specifications of VitaMK7®. |
